Martin Wickramasinghe and the Politics of Culture
A lecture reconstructing the views of Martin Wickramasinghe on culture, society, and politics, including his critiques of chauvinism and his perspectives on the language problem and the National Question. The event highlights his final public engagements prior to the April '71 insurrection.
The talk is presented by Uditha Devapriya, an independent researcher, author, and analyst whose work spans international relations, history, culture, and politics. He is currently working on an official study of Wickramasinghe.
